Traceability and inspection on appliance lines

Refrigerators, washers and small appliances contain control boards, harnesses and coated covers. The control board takes a traceability code on the S450-X and a conformal-coat check on the SC-350. Harnesses, plastic shells and aluminum shells take a laser 2D code. Dispensed beads are checked for path and breaks on the SG-500.

Appliance plants often treat the board as a purchased part and the cover as an appearance part. Field returns do not.

Missing conformal coat, bubbles and overflow on a control board, together with an unreadable harness code or a poor mark on a plastic or aluminum shell, become the same customer call.

These subassembly lines can be equipped by station.

The S350-X, S450-X and S500-X can each be configured as single side, flip both sides, or dual-head both sides, for boards up to 350, 450 and 500 mm.

SC-350The SC-350 is large-field coating inspection, boards to 350 × 350 mm.

The SC-500 does single-side coating inspection and the SC-600 does dual-head, double-side coating inspection, boards to 500 × 500 mm.

A separate SG-500 does single-side 3D glue-path inspection, and the SG-600 does dual-head, double-side 3D glue-path inspection; both take boards to 500 × 500 mm.

Marking and inspection belong on these subassembly lines, not only in a phone factory.
